Old Business:
Review Feast of the Anniversary of the Dedication of our Church : The environment drew several praises. Celebration of the rosary for the world was good, emails to participants, distribution of rosary’s and collecting them, brought all up in procession on Oct 7th before sent off. Though seemed like allot for one weekend the plan was to intended to incorporate the festival as a type of “party/ celebration” for the dedication of church. Will review for next year.
What are your plans for liturgical ministers training? 8:15 Sat Oct.12, 2013.
Comment about article by Karen Rood in cross roads: She recommended that the commission for ministry be a once and forever commission, not 3 years; also that EM be chosen not by volunteer but selection. These were suggestions.
Much discussion regarding what type of questions were appropriate for selecting EM. Suggestions: Do you have a devotion to the Eucharist? Do you have a belief in the real presence? A suggestion that contemplative questions may be useful, as: How are you changed after receiving communion? Group suggestion was to use the general review questions initially, avoid issues of possible public scandal, take a wide view; later drill down to the deeper belief and understanding.
What is the feedback from Fr. Dan’s efforts to lead parishioners to a greater appreciation of God’s Word---no grumblings. Many people waited in vestibule, to enter church at appropriate time. Fr. Dan got positive feedback. We ran out of bulletins after Father Dan said to take home the insert---and they did.
Diaconal Blessing following Mass they preach in front of the altar – no progress
Wedding coordinator – Judy Purdom. She went to a wedding rehearsal and wedding with Father Dan. She was a bit overwhelmed, but very enthusiastic. Very interested in position.

Marriage
We are planning on switching curriculums along with Pax Christi and Christ the King in the coming year (when our current workbooks run out.) We currently have 5 couples trained to be workshop facilitators, but are having a hard time meeting the dates put forth a year ago. We are asking the facilitator couples to submit dates for the coming year that they are available and putting forth those dates instead. Cara is also recruiting new couples to facilitate since our current couples are not available as needed.
Confirmation 2014 - Bishop Gainer will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation at the 5:30pm Mass on Sunday January 19, 2014. There are 28 candidates.
