Liturgy Committee Update April 9, 2013
RCIA and Sacramental Formation
RCIA –
o Planning Rite of Acceptance for 4 in late April probably at a 5:30 Mass.
o Planning Full Communion for 4 soon.
First Reconciliation and First Communion 2013– Reconciliation Services went well.
First Communion will be celebrated the weekend of May 4-5. It is the family's choice of: May 4 at 4pm in English, May 5 at 8:15am in English, May 5 at 11am in English, May 5 at 1pm in
Spanish, May 5 at 3:30pm in Spanish and May 5 at 5:30pm in English. Both Spanish Masses will have the Mexican tradition of lighting of baptismal candles by the Godparents. Omar has a team working to put this together.
Baptism
Spanish preparation class has moved to the last Tuesday of each month from 7-9pm.
English remains the 2nd Monday of the month from 7-9pm
Marriage
May workshop is coming up. 1 couple is registered so far.
Confirmation 2013 - Bishop Gainer will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation at the 5:30pm Mass on Sunday January 19, 2014. Preparation begins August 11.
