Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Lexington ranges from Middle School (grades 6,7 and 8) through High School (grades 9-12). We provide various activities throughout the year to enhance the spiritual growth of the youth, as well as provide them opportunities to build friendships with each other and, most importantly, with Jesus Christ.

An Authentically Catholic Approach to Leadership

Many of us think of leaders as the ones who gets to be in charge and tell everyone else what to do. However, Christ demonstrates that a true leader is one who first and foremost serves.

The Servant Leadership Institute is a week-long camp for current High School students (sophomores through seniors) that aims to model and teach servant leadership as an authentically Catholic approach to leadership. Our goal is to prepare the young people of our Church to take on roles of leadership, through service, in the parish and beyond.

This will be a week of prayer and devotion, learning and growth, daily service in and around Harlan, and (of course) plenty of time to get away and have fun.

To Register: Fill out the form here.

All registrants need a letter of introduction from their pastor/parish priest recommending the youth for the camp and detailing the youth's potential for leadership in their parish and community. Letters of introduction can be sent to Michael Armstrong at marmstrong@cdlex.org
